It looks like a trophy with an individual posed a certain way right? The Antiquarian can find those randomly on treasure-giving curios, but less often than the cheap ones worth 275 gold each. I think you're referring to the "Rare Antique" item that she finds. I don't precisely remember if she would find that in food places though, but i think she did.Īnyway thanks a ton people, very valuable info indeed! I may be wrong and it may be random but i only remember finding that item when she was gathering at supply spots (again, like a torch). the 20 long dungeons I ran and tracked over the past week netted me roughly 600k gold.Originally posted by MAKAIROSI:Also, something that i think happens consistently is that if you put her to gather something standard (like a torch) she will also get an item sold for 1.5k (i don't remember the name of it). I hope you have enjoyed this "experiment". Also, don't prevent nighttime ambushes - this team can take them easily, and it's an extra loot chance! Just keep one stack of food for emergency heals. I find this team often clearing battles before the enemy gets a turn, if not after only 1 turn, and ending long dungeons with minimal/zero stress. For example: Try Team 2 without the Vestal and add a third HWM. If you care about speed (and fun) and also want near-best gold acquisition, bring only 1 Antiquarian.įor even more speed (and fun!) and the same gold, run a team with only 1 Antiquarian and no healer. If you are min/maxing gold acquisition, don't care how long a run takes, and care a lot about inventory management, by all means use more than 1 Antiquarian. If bringing twice the Antiquarians (and nearly half the firepower), it would be reasonable to hope for something more like a 50%-100% increase.ĭisregarding a couple outliers (probably due to getting lucky dungeons), bringing 2 Antiquarians instead if 1 does not significantly increase overall gold acquired. The overall gold received from all Antiquarian-affected items by Team 1 was only 7.5% greater than the gold received by Team 2. The chance of finding them does not appear to be increased by having more than 1 Antiquarian. The overall range of rare antiques found was identical for both teams (2 to 9). Team 1 found slightly more antiques than team 2 overall, but even with 2 Antiquarians it is still possible to find as few as 2 rare antiques in a long dungeon! The increased gold stack size of Team 1 did not increase the overall gold found from stacks - but it did make inventory management slightly easier. Interact with all curios possible with Antiquarian selected, using curio items when needed to maximize gold result.Īlways accept gold items affected by the Antiquarian, discarding other items (gems, etc.) if inventory space is needed.Īlways purge pre-dungeon negative quirks that cause characters to auto-interact with curios or increase food consumed. Run 10 long Apprentice dungeons with each team and track the results of gold items that are affected by having an Antiquarian on the team (gold stacks, minor antiques, and rare antiques).īegin with and keep teams at level 2 with fully upgraded gear and skills.įight as many fights as possible without completing the quest (to avoid leveling). Here are some of the basic rules I played by: Replace the vestal with another HWM for slightly more (but manageable) risk and crazy firepower. I didn't keep track of time, but needless to say Team 2 was significantly faster overall (and also a lot more fun). On Team 1, the extra Antiquarian would cast her party-wide dodge buff (which I actually found to be unnecessary) while on Team 2, the other HWM would also cast Duelist's Advance, making 3 of the 4 members a target with Riposte. All team members use -100% food trinkets (Fasting Seal is ideal) to minimize food costs and maximize inventory space.įor this experiment, I tracked and compared two teams: The Antiquarians, of course, find antiques and increase gold stacks size for greater gold acquisition while Highwaymen use Duelist's Advance, activate Riposte, and synergize with the Antiquarian's skill Protect Me. Note: The team composition I found to be best for gold farming involved Antiquarians and Highwaymen. I, personally, will not be running teams with more than one Antiquarian for the purpose of getting rich. I couldn't find a clear answer to this, so I decided to do an "experiment" myself and track the results. As the title states, I wanted to know if having more than one Antiquarian in a group increased gold acquisition enough to be worth the loss of firepower. ![]()
